The Ego

So here is my first entry concerning a subject.

I chose to concern it with the concept of the Ego.

When I was not aware of the Ego I did not know why I did things, or why things were as they were.

If I felt sad, then I was sad. If I felt happy, then I was happy.

But now that I realise what the Ego is, I am no longer sad or happy ... I am just the watcher of these emotions.

The Ego, is your concept of who you are. If you are a person of xyz traits, then that is your Ego ... but not who you truly are. Who you truly are is a Human with an Ego.

The thing is, the Ego is purely determined by lifes circumstances. If you have been through an abusive childhood, then your Ego is an abused person. But nevertheless, you are a Human!

You Ego does not have to be determined by the life you have lead, your Ego is determined by whatever you choose for it to be.

This is where the power lies.

Before I even would care to elaborate any further on the Ego ... you must first come to realise, your Ego is NOT who you are. YET your Ego can very well determine your lifes outcome.

So when you realise you are in control of your Ego, then you are of course in control of your lifes outcome.
